I recently found a leak coming from a coolant hose attached to the throttle body on my 2012 G37 sedan (shown in pic... also I fully realize how dusty my motor is ). It seems like a fairly simple fix, is there measures I have to take prior to disconnecting and replacing the hose (e.g. Coolant drain) ? Or can I disconnect w/o coolant drain?
Once you remove the hose from the barb just a light sanding w/ some steel wool or a scotchbrite pad should clean up any buildup, just check for any pitting that may be penetrating into the hose mount, should be in fine shape if it hasn't been too long.
