Downshifting issues w/automatic transmission

I have a 2013 G37x. Whenever I have to brake quickly or slightly hard, the transmission shifts to neutral for a second or two when stopped before re-engaging. There are no issues when braking gradually or over the normal course. Has anyone experienced this and what was the fix? Thanks!

By shifts into neutral.....You visually see it go from "D" to "N"?

No - still in Drive, but the transmission is not engaged for about 1-2 seconds.

It's gear hunting. Very common issue with the 7AT but it's normal. Nothing wrong with the transmission. Unfortunately, not a whole lot you can do about it unless you go with a tune. Can always try a grounding kit. Some people swear by them.

Thanks - I'll ask my local mechanic about it.
