Car start up hestiation/wont start

Hi all, new member here. Just bought a 08 G37 Coupe about a month ago. 123K Miles and all maintenance done at a local infiniti dealership. Clean title.

I went on a small road trip, and had the car sitting for 2 days. When I was about to leave to head back home, the car wouldnt start. It hesitated to start like it was out of gas/battery. Tried starting about 5-6 times, it started but it was a very weak start. I accelerated a bit and eventually the car died. But the last start had the car going, and I let it run for a about 10-15 mins before leaving home. The battery seems fine, and I had plenty of gas. Im clueless on what would cause this issue, and makes me a little paranoid I may get stranded somewhere if I drive this thing. Just need a peace of mind, has this happen to anyone else?

get your battery tested, just because it seems fine doesn't mean it is. more than likely its you issue.
if not your battery, then check your spark plug, injectors and fuel pump.

Of course, I did some research online before the post. And it seems like alot of people had issues with the emissions valve? possibly draining the battery?

I came from a lexus IS, and I guess infinitis have some serious battery issues

If it's a start up problem, have you checked the start switch under the clutch? I had to replace mine last year.

firstly, clean the battery connections and make sure they are tight.

get the battery tested - even new batteries can be crap.

Follow up: it's called the neutral safety switch. Common signs of a faulty neutral safety switch include the engine not cranking in park or neutral, not cranking at all, or cranking in any gear.

Have you encountered the same issue as mine as well? Curious if this may the culprit. I’ll get a new battery as well, just Incase

My car wouldn't crank sometimes and I thought it was the battery. I even replaced a battery thinking that was the problem, but it turned out to be this switch. I'd depress the clutch a few times and eventually it would make contact. In your case it would be the brake.

Correction: the neutral safety switch on a automatic G37 is not under the brake pedal, its on the transmission. I don't know where, but after doing some checking, that's where it's located.

If youre 100% sure its not electrical, try cleaning the throttle bodies and maf sensors. I had a similar incident. I noticed a couple of days before the car not starting that my idle was extremely low. Two days later, the car wouldnt start. Turns out it was gunk build up in the throttle bodies. I havent had that problem since cleaning them.

These cars definitely hate winter, had two 350z over six years then upgraded to a g, still hates winter, needs FULLY warmed up before they drive right
