Output Shaft Seal Leaking

Has anyone had any experience with the output shaft seal leaking in/around the transfer case? Is it a common occurrence on X sedans or with G's in general?

If so, I figure that the 60k mile powertrain warranty should cover the expense of replacing it?

Not sure if it is common or not, however, mine was also leaking at around 38,000 miles. and was fixed by the dealer under warranty.

Does this look like the seal on the front drive shaft is bad?
