Hi all, I’m thinking of purchasing a used 2012 G37s coupe with 55000 miles for $17.2k. I had a PPI done and they said everything looked great except for a leak in the rack and pinion coming from the driver side. They said the leak was not too severe and I could keep driving on it for a while. Here’s a picture-
Do you guys think this a serious problem? Given this, what do you think about the price of the car?
thanks!
I wanted to add one more question- it still has 2 months left on its drivetrain warranty. Will a drive warranty cover the rack and pinion? How does a drive train warranty work if I purchase it, is it automatically transferred to me or is there some sort of paperwork I need to fill out? Will the drivetrain warranty work with any Infiniti Dealer?

negotiate rack replacement. I believe that it needs replaced when i leaks theres no fix. Like 2-3k in repairs.
rack is NOT covered under drivetrain and with you being so close to 60k miles the dealer wont touch it as a courtesy.
