I'm getting mines through GaleForce (3Gs Customs) on the370z.com site. He uses OEM A pillars and molds the pods unto it.

hmmm...not sure where I'm going to have them mounted. I think i'm going to have them mount it in my center console so it's stealthy and nothing gets hit by accident by a curious passenger. Sometimes I bring players I coach home. I'm only going to use this at the track.

When I'm at the track how long before my run should I arm the system? Wait until there are 5 cars or less in front of me?

From: Framingham Ma,
You can arm it when ever, as long as you don't rev to/past the RPM you have it set to activate.
So if you have it set for 3500 it wont spray till then. An depending when you have it set to stop, IE 7000? It will only spray in that RPM window

Yes and no. Everything is installed but bottle valve was defective waiting for new one to come in. Right now I'm doing some base etuning with Seb going to start tomorrow. I will post pics and feedback in the near future

So the test pipes coupled with my headers and exhaust rasp like a ****. Can't stand it. I loved the sound of the exhaust with the FI RHFC. I know I should not use them because of the heat. I'm thinking I will get the AAM resonated test pipes to help mitigate this.

That should bring it down some, maybe not completely. My RTP's still rasp a bit since I still have the stock mid pipe but you should be good with a full ARK.

So had the AAM Resonated test pipes installed and the rasp is still there. It helped a little, but not as much as I was hoping so I had my mechanic check it out more and they determined the sound comes from the flex sections on the y pipe. There are no leaks anywhere. I know the flex sections are ribbed on the inside so I'm thinking the exhaust flow being increased hitting that section is the cause of the rasping noise. Have others come to this same conclusion?

I'm tempted to replace them with straight pipes, but that would cause issues down the line with some part of the exhaust cracking right?

Lastly, I'm very close to start tuning my nitrous system. I haven't run it yet. should I be concerned about the flex sections breaking during hard nitrous acceleration?

What gaskets are you running from the headers to the test pipes? When I swapped from the crappy cheap gaskets to the metal Z1 gaskets with some RTV applied to them my rasp went away significantly.

Looking forward to seeing your results! I had a buddy with a 370z that responded really well to nitrous.

Not sure which gaskets they used, I'll look into the Z1 one metal ones now though.

There is no leaks in the exhaust system. So I don't think it's the gaskets. It's the flex pipes in the y pipe section of the ARK exhaust system causing the nois. I only hear under acceleration from 3k RPM and above. Any suggestions on fixing this or do I just get used to it?

NOt sure I need those flex sections because FI's CBE doesn't have flex pipes and I don't hear issues with people having their exhausts break. Maybe its the orientation of the pipes? Anyone have any insight on my issue?

I'm curious if I should go with straight pipes there in place of the flex pipes.

So wento to program my Maximizer 4 progressive nitrous controller yesterday and ran into a snag. I got my laptop to connect to it after installing the software, easy. Changing the settings is easy too. However, the installer had it wired wrong and the solenoids were giving me fuel when the controller was telling them not to. Basically the controller is designed to control the solenoids and it's not doing that. It seemed to be reading the TPS though. I called NX Express to figure this out. THe controller only comes on when the nitrous switch is flipped on which I thought was odd, but apparently not abnormal. He had me undo one of the fuel lines from one of the solenoids and when the switch was flipped on it sprayed fuel. It should not be per NX Express as we had the controller set so it should not be.

Anyways back to the shop next week to have it fixed. Getting a little frustrated. Having exhaust issue checked out this week though so hopefully i find a solution there.
