Newbie wants supercharger, NEEDS HELP!

Hi guys, I have a 2012 g37xS. I am planning on installing a supercharger system on my G. I think I am going to go with the stillen supercharger system ($6800 one). My concern is will the engine light keep coming on after I install the supercharger. And what else do I need to upgrade in order to support the extra power provided by the supercharger. I am a complete newb in this, please help. Thanks alot.

From: Framingham Ma,
Welcome , search man lots of info I here about it. The only light you "should" see is for the MAP sensor. This was the only light I saw ever. But also mak sure you have a extra 5-7k laying around for "when" something breaks. GL man

welcome
There's a lot of things to watch for when your going forced induction. I can't stress how important it is to have an experienced tuner. the tuner can make or break the car. Oil and transmission coolers are a must for the longevity of your motor and transmission. i would also invest in AFR and oil pressure gauges. and as ANMVQ mentioned already, have and extra 6k laying around for if your transmission fails. Mine failed on the dyno before i ever got to enjoy it. The road to forced induction is not cheap. good luck!

brother I am over 10,000 miles into my supercharger and I love every bit of it. I have never seen a check engine light due to my supercharger (low brake fluid once). I have nothing but great things to say about it. this is what I did and would suggest...
1) engine oil cooler ( to prevent "limp mode" when driving hard)
2) I have a 6mt but if auto a trans cooler
3) catch can on the pcv system ( I drain a few ounces out every oil change)
4) OEM R35 GTR plugs gapped to .028 ( I was having spark blowout at high rpms with the stock plugs, denso gapped at .040)
5) went with a Spec twin plate clutch to handle the power better (I am 6mt)
6) WIDER WHEELS AND TIRES!!! I am running 245/285 setup with bf Goodrich sport comp 2s and I still have traction issues in 2nd and sometimes 3rd
7) If you get wider wheels in the front I suggest doing a power steering cooler. I boiled my power steering fluid on the Tail of the dragon last year.
8) upgraded my entire suspension cause that is a lot of power for the stock suspention (mine was an S) and still too soft for my taste.

I love my car and everything about it. I have a lot of money into it but as long as you get quality parts and maintain it well you will never regret doing it. On my custom tune I am @ 435whp/331ftlb tq.

Hope this helps you out brother and welcome

If I'm correct the stillen supercharger is street and carb legal so you should not be getting any check engine lights from the supercharger. I don't have FI on my G but I do have a bad *** WRX and i Loooovveeee boost. You will not regret it ever
