slight vibration in seat at idle on 2013 G37xs with 18,900 miles. What is it?
I just purchased my 2013 G37xs with 18,900 miles. At idle, in drive the car has a slight vibration in the seat. Sort of feels like a cell phone vibrating.
I went to Infiniti to have the service adviser and the tech have a look. They truly did not think much of it at all (however they did feel and confirm what I felt). To please me, they put the car on the lift to look around, the only thing they see is slight dents on the Y-pipe. The service adviser ordered me a new Y-pipe under warranty to see if that solves the problem. I overheard the tech saying its a long shot.
Any idea what this slight vibration in the seat could be?
I would guess that it's something exhaust related. If there is a dent on the Y-Pipe, it's possible the previous owner conked it really hard and damaged one of the rubber mounts and that mount is now vibrating against the bottom of the floor pan beneath the seat?
mjnoles1, did this replacement work? I started getting bad vibrations on my 2013 G37 several days ago. It gets worse every time I drive it. I'm bringing it in this Friday. Mine is much more pronounced than a cell phone vibration feel, and it's actually very uncomfortable. Just curious if this solved your vibrations. Thanks!

Maybe ever so slightly but it is still there at times. However, it seems to be normal as I sat in a few other G37s/Q40s and they all felt the same. I was just used to a smoother engines in the past.
