But OMG...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! I've been driving manual transmissions for over 30 years....this went from WTF to OMG!! Before it looked like I had never driven a manual transmission before to now it is smooooooth! THIS is how is should be from the factory!! Thanks for all of the suggestions (especially the ground mat for the knees and the blanket for the door sill!) I'll probably never adjust it because the items to adjust are a major PITA to get to.

Glad to hear you got the same reaction as just about everyone else whose completed the install. Night and day and best mod for 6mt's imo

Just put my TWM STS and definitely noticed the bunching of the stock shift boot. Do you have a pic of the STS Redline shift boot cover installed?

That’s the perforated nappa leather in black with white stitching if anyone is curious.

I think it’s 1” shorter than stock. I don’t remember the exact measurements but I reduced it to avoid being bunched up.

Lego's boot does look good, in proper leather, and perforated. However, I think the shifter area is better suited by stitching a four-panel boot, instead of three-panel. Here's the same, but in Redline's Charcoal leather, with matching charcoal stitching, selected to work with a Stone Leather interior.

Just based on the pics and not seeing them in person, I actually prefer the 3-panel.

That's a good match for your interior color, Rochester.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Redline shift boot. I've had one on 4 different cars and they were all high quality.

In a four-point harness? Um, OK.

But that's why we've got options for all kinds of preferences. Stuff like this, there's really no wrong answer.

Yeah, the rear 2 points are closer together and the stitching makes it look too busy IMO. Maybe the Infiniti designers thought the same thing as OEM is 3-panel . It may look completely different in person, and of course, this is only my opinion and you are right, no wrong answer

I thought I'd share this. I exchanged a few emails with Redline and asked them if they could make the G37 a car of the week. I figured it was worth a shot...well, they did! 20% off all orders.

Still driving around with a smile on my face! But it seems I may have too big of an engagement window now. Still in search of the Goldilocks spot. Questions for those that have adjusted below the 75% mark. Did it lessen the engagement window? How far did it move toward the floorboard. How far less than 75% did you go? Would you do it again? I ask, because getting in there to make adjustment is a giant PITA.
