Maybe for whatever reason your engine cover is sitting lower. Looks good though and if you say it's not making contact w/ the hood you're sitting fine!

All the strut bars I've seen (and all have the same part #s) show applications for 2007-08 G35 Sedans, 09 thru current G37 & Q40 Sedans, and 08 thru current G37 & Q60 Coupes, verts aren't listed
Maybe Cereal2k or Redfire32 might know for sure. If you can't get a confirmation you could always measure from center of strut tower to strut tower and I could check that measurement w/ mine.

Just ordered the Tanabe strut tower brace for my coupe, what a great deal! Thanks for being the crash test dummy for the rest of us Brad.

while I am a disbeliever in strut braces, especially 3 piece aluminum ones, this tanabe can be had for $120 shipped from numerous websites. Just an FYI...

Any vendor that has the Tanabe part #TTB176F will be the part for your X sedan, it's only listed for the Q50 but it WILL fit your vehicle.
Here's the cheapest I found

Well you guys sucked me into it. $130 is just such a good price for a brand name product; not to mention it looks amazing too! I should be getting mine tomorrow or on Monday, will report back

it fits well, but I had to extend the threads out like 1/2 inches each side.
the total length from end to end is about 33.75" OC.

how did you short the bar all the way? my sits low on the engine already.

Maybe sedan has a wider body?

Allen, yours is sitting like mine and I have about 3/8" of thread exposed on each side. Yours is a sedan too right?

yep, I have 2011 sedan. the gap between bar/engine is about 1/4 inch, looks good on my OEM engine bay!

haha

btw, the strut bar gets damn hot since it's so close to engine cover.

Yeah, EVERYTHING under the hood gets simmering hot, those VQs are not a cool running setup for sure. At least my Injen SRIs use the stock plastic MAF pipes, those long tube intakes would be something else to burn my hands on

Looks Great! I assume this fits the coupe no problem? Since I've only seen pics of it on sedans
