SES light on. confused?

i recently got the SES light along with Vdc and slip lights coming on. i get the code p0345( camshaft position sensor A malfunction bank 2). from what i understand there are two, 1 for bank 1 and the other for bank 2. I'm not familiar with using a ohms reader but both basically have the same values. i don't know what values I'm supposed to have (if you can help). i figured i can swap them put them in and erased lights and did another test drive. the light came back on for bank 2. also when car was shifting it was jerking between some gears (cause of cam sensor??). any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can refer to the FSM posted in the sedan forum. There you'll find the appropriate section with all trouble codes, and the way to properly diagnose them.

yea i checked a bunch of the possible causes I'm thinking it may be a sprocket. if i only had a scan tool to check the intake timing. the intake sprocket cost about $600 from dealer which hell no am i getting it from them. now i have to look for a fair and reliable place to get the sprocket from. hopefully this is the problem.

ok so i changed the sprocket, put the timing back. triple checked timing and the code came back on. my friend said to get another cam sensor because i got it from autozone, ut swapping from both banks(1 being oem) still shows up as bank 2. so to me, the sensors arent the problem. any ideas?

When you are done replacing various parts, listening to unqualified friends, wasting untold hours of time you can then take it to the dealer while they give you a loaner to use while they properly fix it

yea, thats true. unfortunately i dont have a warranty and i dont know if they will give a loaner. in need something to check intake timing in which ill have to bring to the dealer. i hope they dont try to screw me. ill tell them i changed the oil gaskets for rear timing, cam sensors, camshaft sprocket, connectors and wiring was good. so idk what they will be able to find.
