ECU Reset

I replaced my battery last weekend, which reset the ECU.

When I got in and drove it, it was holy crap, almost instantaneous throttle response, which I did not have before.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I have read the posts about doing the reset.

To celebrate my new driving experience, I did a bit of gunning the ride and enjoyed every bit of it. Glad gas prices are lower.

lol, i had the same thing happen. Had to have my battery checked out and when i got my car back it was much different. It seemed like the power went on forever but the gear changes werent what i had liked. Wild the car can change that much just by undoing the battery, right??

I didn't know a simple battery swap would wipe the ECU...I thought it took hours of no-power for that. I've read where people keep the battery disconnected overnight...

I thought a short term power loss would screw up the power windows, but not the ECU...did I assume incorrectly?
