Best RPM to shift in in the G Coupe

What and When is the best RPM to shift at in the 6MT G Coupe. I usually shift at 3000 RPM but i now feel im shifting too early. What is the most ideal RPM to do this at then? Opinions?

^ Not what he said. I usually shift between 3 & 4k. Unless I pull out in front of someone. Then ^ what he said.

Nah, you got another 300-500 rpm beyond redline.....

Best rpm is what is most suitable for the particular purpose.

Because the coupes a sports car, huh?

OP: Your shift points should be based upon the situation. When manually shifting I shift around 4K in each gear. 1st really being the only exception, I shift out of first at 2500-3000.

OP there is no "best", or recommended shift point in a manual transmission. It doesn't really work that way. The point at which you should shift is completely situation dependent and varies greatly based on an infinite amount of factors in your driving. You have to determine that for yourself in your own situation.

Coupe here... When taking it easy I usually shift around 2,500-2,800 which makes shifts nice and smooth. If I have cars behind me then it increases drastically as I try to shoot pavement at their windshield.

Good thing you clarified coupe... wouldn't want to confuse the OP more than he already is...
