tbh I'm not sure if it's worth spending another $700ish to get ECUTek and might not get a solid gain over Uprev? If I do get a small gain, proly still not worth the $700, since the "VVEL tune" hasn't really been proven worthy yet(?)...

I read you've switched over to ecutek and got an improvement over your previous uprev?

I would also like to know about this as well. I don't have a tune yet and don't know if I should get the ecutek tune or Uprev. I wasnt really all that happy with my Uprev tune when I had my 370,and was hoping the ecutek would be a better alternative.

It's all about the person tuning your car. EcuTek and UpRev are just tools.

That's what perplexed me, I had my tune done by a very reputable shop that had many cars people were happily tuned. I read somewhere that the ecutek programming was different in that the timing tables were much more simplified compared to Uprev and only used one table instead of multiple tables to control timing, producing slightly better results.

My boys LOL,
Why does Alex @Motion Lab use it?? Just really want something to compare .
I have a Z friend with it just sitting on his table. Will probably just sell it and stay with UPREV .

Same dyno? Same conditions? Too many variables when it comes to this sort of thing to really compare

I wouldn't use that software.
Had in my evo, all sorts of boost spoke & afrs all over the place.
Replaced with open source tune via Ivey Tune.
My tuner who has 20+ the last 6 doing gtrs.
He has a 8 second gtr he knows what works.
With his years of experience dumped his whole ecutek platform, to many problems.

Ecutek make a tune for my juke, for only $950.
They would have to pay me to use it, sorry it's a uk based co.

I wouldn't use it, I had issues as did others.
Good luck with your decision.
