VVEL ticking noise

Started getting this noise today, plus occasionally (pretty rare to be honest) getting a worse sound (like an old chatty diesel) when accelerating from a stop. I've already got an appointment with the dealer to hopefully get the ECM reprogram that fixes the known VVEL bank 2 noise issue. Can anybody who has had that issue confirm whether or not this noise is similar to what they got?

Yes, I had the same issue too, a visit to dealership will fix it for you. But it came back for some ppl months later.

Video in question
does it increase with rpms? or you hear tap tap tap while accelerating and goes way?

Do you need to be under warranty for the dealer to fix this free of charge?

Doesn't appear to increase with RPMs. I hear the tapping while accelerating for maybe the first 2-3 seconds and then it goes away, but it isn't heard in the video obviously. I can only seem to get it to happen if I drive the car enough to get everything up to equiplibrium temperatures, turn it off for a bit (5-10 minutes) start it up and go again. It's almost immediate whenever I do that (say stopping for gas on my way home from work). I have had a pretty rough idle lately too for some reason when sitting at a stop light.
