this is a few towns over from me.

i would say i agree with you about the above statement....but this article is the real reason i believe is what is wrong with america.

 

I just got a 12 G sedan, and this happen to me a couple times. Usually happens when I'm taking a turn at around 30mph and when i try to accelerate the car shakes violently and bogs for about 1-2 seconds then accelerates, or sometimes after a turn i accelerate there is literally no throttle response at all, it seems as if the gear is stuck or something? Make matters worse i brought it to service and they say thats how 7AT drvies... I guess I was expecting too much coming over from a 6speed Lexus? Anyone else have this problem?

 

Mine does this on left turns sometimes, going about 15-20mph then try and press the gas and it seems like nothing happens for about 2 seconds then all of a sudden it downshifts and hauls ***. During the 2 second period the engine sounds like it's going up a big hill, sort of bogged down and unresponsive. Happens maybe once every month or so, not consistent at all. I've been debating getting a hypertech tuner to remove the 0-60 throttle restriction to see if it helps, but am weary about voiding my warranty from it.

 

This really sucks I hope they come out with a newer update soon...On another note for the G to me it doesn't feel like a 328bhp car... any opinions?

 

Turn off your traction control, then you will spin out if you punch it going around a corner. The shaking and bogging is because of it kicking in. That just means you stomped on the gas too hard. The no response sounds lack the lag. I have not encountered it in my G.

 

I drive it like a regular person would but sometimes my right food gets itchy... On the other hand the VQ is somewhat a performance engine no? So I thought they were meant to be driven hard? IMO no point in buying a car with a nice engine without popping her cherry

 

I haven't experienced this issue. Maybe because mine is a 2012 IPL?
Guys with an uprev tune, did this fix the situation with the lag?

 

It seems as if it's not all G sedan but only some of them and unfortunately I think I might be one of them. Hows the IPL drive vs the regular Gs?

 

MY **** LAGS LIKE NO TOMORROW!!!. When i drive on cold start, my car sounds like its running out of gas, thats how much lag it has. You can feel the engine hesitating alittle,rev going till 4K rpm and car jerks forward like i hit the NOS button....what do it do?!?!

 

I know what they talking about, I had that issue in my 08;but it was resolved by the cobb computer upgrade.

that sucks lol i have the stillen ground wire and have little to no lag what so ever.... good luck with that one..

 

let the transmission warm up.... the car sounds that way on a cold start because its warming itself up but do you notice the car starting like that when its warm?

 

What is Cobb computer upgrade??


im not talking about the sound...yea it should sound louder on cold start rather than when the car is warm. The problem is that is lag's like no tomorrow on every cold start. Meaning in the morning, When I'm going for lunch around 2pm in school, when I'm leaving school around 7pm...lucky enough it hasn't happened in front of a cop because after the lag, it jolts making my tires screech. If i get pulled over, not sure how I'm going to explain why my G is an idiot.
