Throttle lag class action suit
I did have throttle lag in my 2011 like the OP. It was bad enough where I did not trust the car to make a left turn into oncoming traffic unless there was sufficient space, much to the consternation of people lined up behind me. Gunning out into traffic from a parking lot or from a stop sign was also a no-no. It was also embarrassing that I did not have punch off of the line.
As Jsolo indicated, there have been posts on this topic, not only in this forum, but others as well.<O

I had the tranny reprogrammed, which so far has rectified the lag issue, plus others I was having as well.<O

Good luck on the class action gig. I know that Infiniti tried to cover up my problem by erasing an error code which possibly pointed to the TCM. Have there been other cover-ups as well? <O

I'm currently pursuing a class action suit regarding the throttle lag issue with 08/09 Infiniti G37 vehicles. If anyone else has experienced life threatening hazards or otherwise dangerous situations in general with this issue and this is something you'd be interested in, please PM me.
Thanks

IF you have a 7AT, it has been rectified, see your dealer.
Do you know exactly what I'm referring to? It can cause an incredibly unsafe right turn/yield merge in some instances, due to unexpected lack of acceleration. I've experienced this multiple times where I've rolled through a yield sign with no ability to accelerate immediately after merging. This most recently nearly caused me to be rear ended.
You do know there are MANY cars that have a much worse
acceleration problem than the G don't you..............If you pulled out in front of a car hoping to punch it then it will be considered your fault not the cars. So all being said if you know you have this issue then why are you pulling out in front of cars hoping to hammer on it to get going in front of them? Why not just be safe? Wait till it is clear!
I may be wrong but I've experienced something similar to this but I don't think it is throttle lag. When in Auto DS mode, I've had the car downshift into first gear at a really bad time similar to his explanation, at a slow yielding intersection. It hardly caused an accident but it did freak me out a little because when I hit the gas it took a couple seconds to actually start accelerating again.
Could be completely wrong and not related but I figured I would enter my opinion.

I have experienced this but come on, to take it to the point of suing is extreme. Someone is looking for a free paycheck. Infiniti also released a TSB for this in the 08/09 models. Go to your dealer and tell them your problem and they will re-flash the car. Good luck with your suing/supporting lawyers money spending habbit goals of 2013.
^ I like that idea to go and re-flash the car. You might want to do that. I think if you go through w/ this, that your not going to get any were on this and your just throwing money to the ppl trying to fight for your case.
I had the reflash done by the dealer and no issues; the car rockets away like... well... a rocket! I don't pull out in front of other cars and gun it trying to show off my 328hp. You shouldn't either, you'll end up dead this way.
Don't sue Nissan, go to driving school and chill out behind the wheel. If that still doesn't help then sell the car and move on with your life.
