Make sure the other car is running while you boost the G.
This happened to me a couple days ago.. I left my headlights on overnight. When I went to boost the car the ignition caught but it didn't have enough juice to start the car.. After a few attempts, I decided to turn on the other car (in this case a 2012 Altima) and it started no problem..
