A paddle shifter car should shift immediately when paddle is moved, not 5 seconds later up or down when the cars wants to. I can be in DS in 2nd and go down to 1st and it freewheels in neutral for about 3 seconds then catches 1st. Its really a pos system. Its definitely a car that likes to be left in D.
i havent had that problem and my car is 08 the down shifting by it self is kind of annoying will be better if you could control that

Ive had car in for warranty work and any updates or TSB's applied and it still shifts like crap in DS. Its my wifes car and I rarely drive it so no big deal as she never has it in anything but drive and probably never sees over 2500 rpms anyway.
It is something to get used to having an auto though.
