IPL tune for G37

Anyone else think that an "IPL" tune for a regular G would benefit? I don't think there are different engine parts to the IPL, just the tune tweaks to get an extra 15hp.

Perhaps a buddy (tech) at the stealership could hook me up?

Any thoughts?

The IPL ecu tune is tightly coupled with the IPL exhaust, so there's really no point in applying to a non-IPL car.

I have the stock IPL exhaust on a regular G37. If I get the ECU retuned by Infiniti will I get the extra 15hp gain?

Correct... This has been covered many times. The IPL "tune" is different from the journey, and sport. Not just the Engine but the 7AT Trans too. The +18hp is a combination of exhaust/tune. The local service manager can confirm this for you.

Obviously if you've already purchased the IPL exhaust to replace your OEM sport, the car is breathing better and could benefit from a tune. If you're going to continue to do "bolt on" mods, get an uprev tune after you complete the work. Uprev will get you a few more WHP.

My good friend who has an ipl with stage 3 intakes & catback(forget the brand)
He got 15whp & got an extra 40ftlbs of torque all thru power band.
This was with uprev software, tuned by jas @ jds motoring.

Ipl has lots of room for improvement.
Was in the car before & after the tune, day & night.

I have an x coupe, so the 7 spd auto is also tuned? Could I get the tune even if I don't have the exhaust? I don't care about the extra power.

The reason that the hp gain seems like it is alot is because that it is at the crank. An exhaust + uprev tune will net you more gains than the advertised 15 hp.
