Clutch Master Cylinder <----Sucks

Hey I just wanted to write this so if any of you have any problems when installing a new clutch you would know what to do.

I plan on getting a turbo kit soon so i decided to upgrade my clutch to a os giken twin plate. I also decided to upgrade the clutch slave cylinder from zspeed to a os giken made slave cylinder.

I had my mechanic install the clutch and the CSC and he bleed the system 3 times and said it was all set.

I picked it up from the shop and began running errands for the day on the way back home the clutch pedal dropped to the floor. WTF

I barely made it back to the Shop and told them. They bled the system again but said they think there might be air in the lines still.

Well i did my research, our Master Cylinder sucks and my car has 57000 miles on it with the new clutch it was too much for Master to handle and the seal went we ordered a new master, bled the system and now it feels great i have about a week with a driving with no issues.

I just wanted to share this with you guys just incase you might run into this problem!!

Known issue with stock and aftermarket clutches. Best bet, get the HD Concentric Slave Cylinder through ZSpeedPerformance. Mine has been on the car for 6 months without any issues.

My OEM clutch parts were all fine till i installed the JWT around 50,000 miles. Then after a while the slave and master cylinder couldnt handle the heavy duty anymore and my clutch dropped to the floor. i changed to Zspeed HD slave and OEM Master. Worked fine for about 6 months till now. Started getting the halfway clutch treatment. Mechanic says problem with the cylinder not sure which one (guessing its master). Waiting on some feedback from Zspeed as well. I think i should go with a HD Master cylinder. What do you guys think? Also know of any good brands for HD master cylinders?

Thanks.

Never heard of such a thing. If you discover one for our car, please let us know.

If there's no such thing as a heavy duty master cylinder, that would mean that a solution would be to change the OEM master cylinder every 6 months which seems to be its lifetime. Maybe another solution would be to switch to a clutch not involving a good thigh workout?

I've been pretty lucky so far after one replacement. I have a very stout clutch and things have been going well for quite a while, knock on wood.

I still have the stock master in my 370Z. I have had no issue yet...
We have seen a rash of weak masters though, I think the main issue is the debris in the system from the stock slave cylinder and it wears the seals in the master. Best to replace the master with the HD slave.

Also make sure to flush the system at least twice a year as regular maintenance.
