Question Strange Shifting Issue with 08 G37 Coupe 5AT

Hey everyone, just had this happen today, and wondering if anyone has seen anything similar or help point me in the right direction.

I have a 08 G37 coupe (5at) with 35000 miles on it. Had it for about 3 weeks, and have had no problems whatsoever. Car is totally stock, no aftermarket parts, wheels, or lowering kits. Also no grounding wires.

Today I'm driving around and notice that shifting (in D mode, not DS or M) from 3-4 the shift is almost hitting the 7000 RPM mark. Its like its stuck unless i ease off the gas, then it seems to catch and shift into 4 no problem, from 4-5 seems fine too.

I stop, then slowly accelerate, it shifts fine from 1-2, and 2-3 goes fine, but from 3-4 (if i am steady on the gas, not flooring it) it just goes until almost 7000 RPMs and feels like its going to redline.

I searched here and Google, closest thing i can find is issues with a manual transmission, but nothing that seems to fit this issue specifically. Nothing in the TSBs about the transmission, so going to call dealer tomorrow, just seeing if anyone had any input at all.

For what its worth, M mode works fine, and DS is fine too, but it almost seems like D is behaving like DS mode, except shifts 1-2 and 2-3 are shifting normally. No check engine lights or anything either. What i dont understand is how it just seemed to started happening today, but the past 3 weeks its been fine, or maybe i just haven't noticed.

Anyways, thanks guys! (sorry for the long post )

It could be either the car is still learning your driving style or there is something wrong 3rd gear. I'm not a professional, but you should take it to one to know for sure.

My IPL tends to shift differently based on how i have been driving recently - even in D mode (but especially in DS mode).
But that seems kind of extreme unless you are in DS.
