Unhappy 2008 G37s Engine noise when in gears at idle.

Hello Everyone,

I have been having this oddly strange noise come from the engine area, and the noise seems to be relevant mostly when in gears at idle....sounds like a disks almost rubbing against each other. This chit as been going for 3 months and after replacing the short block and a purged cylinder the noise is still there.

As anyone else been experiencing this as well?

Thank you for your response in advance.

I'am assuming he had a bad block and changed it out. But anyways that's just your tranny making noise don't leave it in gear when stopped preferably.

So, I took in my car in December of 2010 - there was this annoying noise almost a racketing noise that is relevant when in gear (reverse or drive).

No, they changed the block because of the noise. They turned off a cylinder and the noise would go away - they also reset the ecu, used ether oil, changed the cylinder valve - whatever else to save their asses. They are not done with me though - I have a great lemon law case on them. Also, my car is a automatic.

I tried to record, but to no avail.

UPDATE: Just received a call from Nissan-USA and they are buying back my car per CA Lemon Law. This was once they pushed me to the edge and wrote a inquiry with the BBB Autoline.
