Not sure why the left lower cooler is plumbed that way. Do setrab coolers have to run flow on a specific direction? Seems it would have been cleaner if plumbed in reverse.

If done in the way you are suggesting, it would make for a very short run form one cooler to the next. Look at the fittings. They are too long to do it that way. The run between the two inner openings isn't long enough to run a hose in between them considering the length of the fittings.
Most likely the two top coolers are for the chargers themselves. The rotrex charger uses its own oil system which consists of a filter, reservoir, pump, cooler, ect. With having two blowers, everything is separate.
Bottom two are the oil coolers for the motor itself.
..Or one could be for the oil cooler, the other transmission (34row?)
