Help Engine makes a knocking noise

Now my engine makes the same noise at 142k. Started happening after an oil change, tranny flush, and spark plug replacement done at the dealer.

Is annoying as fck.

2017 QX 50 with VVEL engine noise

Hey guys. I understand I own a QX 50 and am in the G37 forum however my problem is very similar. We do share the same engine. My 2017 has a noticeable knocking noise after only 50 miles on the odometer. I’ll admit it is no where as noticeable as on this thread but can be heard at idle only after Car warms up. It will then go away once driven for 20 minutes or so. Car now has 13,000 miles and noise still shows up once warmed up but is gone when driven a number of miles. Dealer claims it is the normal VVEL noise. So far I’m living with it as I have 5 1/2 years left on factory drive train and engine warranty. Neither of my G35s with 11 years of ownership had any noises. I’m not happy but at least the noise always goes away after about 20 minutes if driving. I’m just concerned on what if any damage is occurring during the time it does make noise.

Vid? The VVEL noise is more a "Flapping" noise. But it could be?

I changed to Redline full synthetic and my VVEL noise went immediately away.

I have an 09 coupe w gen 3 intake, and same sound out of nowhere. I’ve read a 1000 different opinions and every g37 blog on the subject with no solution. One mechanic even replaced the timing chain. Did nothing. Then about 6 months later I added HFC and sound is gone!!
