It's good that you didn't eat $60 worth of cookies. You'd have one hell of a tummy ache if you did.

 

Hate to reopen this thread - but at least this will help others in the same situation.

Do the two steps before this COLD Motor
1. 2 (Sec) On
2. 10 (Sec) off
3. 2 (Sec) On
4. 10 (Sec) off

1. 2 (Sec) On
2. 10 (Sec) off


HOT PIPING HOT MOTOR ( not 10/15minute drive..... I beat it up for 20-30 minutes ) then did the following

1) turn ignition to ON
2) wait 3 seconds
3) pump gas pedal 5 times (dont wait between each one, just pump the pedal 5 times)
4) wait 7 seconds (some people say they have better luck if they wait a little longer, like 7-10 seconds)
5) Press down gas pedal and wait. this is the part where the check eng light will come on after about 10 seconds
For this I have an issue - What did was START the car the within 3 seconds SES light of it being solid -

To summarize the last bit -
After the wait of 7-8 seconds ( Step 4) - press and hold throttle pedal (Step 5)- flashing SES - then SES will go solid - within three seconds of it going solid start the car.

This worked perfectly for my 2007 G35s.

 

After cleaning the TB, I can't get my G37 to hold the idle relearn. Tried several times including at the ECM. When the idle is about 650, service engine soon light is off. When the idle is 950, the service engine light is on (P0171 and P0174). Any suggestions? I think I've taught the car its idle over 10 times. Are there remedial classes I need to take my car?

 

The high idle and lean code have been fixed by replacing the fuel pump.

 

I disconnect battery before I clean TB's every summer, never had any issues.
