Exclamation Transmission Issue!

Guys, I was driving my car few days ago, and everything was perfect for few minutes but there was a flare when it shifts from 3 to 4 gears. Reaching the traffic light I tried to accelerate, but what happened is that the car didn't respond! Tried again but the car didn't move, the gear shifted into neutral while the shift stick is still in D position! Had to shutdown the car and start it again and everything was ok! Few hours later same thing happens and I did the same thing, but this time I noticed that the radio channels whent back to the old setup! That means the ECU rested itself!

Anyone had the same issue or know about it?

Check the transmission fluid level , it could be low.

ECU might be behind the problem. If it doesn't occur constantly, it sounds like there is a bug behind all the electronics. Take it to the dealer (if under warranty), and maybe they'll just reset it for ya and it'll be good. Either case, if it's warrantied, it's the dealer's problem.

^ whs, you have an 09 so you should not have problems getting it fixed under warranty, but you WILL have problems replicating the problem in front of the dealer, seems to be the case with me everytime...

i hope you are able to replicate it at the dealer so they can fix it, else make a video of your phone and that should be enough to have them actually try to fix it rather than giving it back to you few hours later saying "Could not replicate described problem"

Bahrain 5666 I totally agree with you the dealer is suck, they will try to run away from the problem stick to you complaint and don't collect the car without a full checking report from them.

main issue is that the TCM sits on the transmission itself... so you can't hack it without dropping ur tranny.. if that's what you're asking.

have to do it through the OBD>
