Thought it would be good to compile some opinions/feedback on the types of oil we are putting through our cars. Post your car's year/model, oil type, brand and where you are located in the country.

As long as you change oil at the recommended intervals for your driving conditions and use 5w30 weight. It wont make significant difference which major brand oil you choose or if it's regular versus synthetic.
I just changed mine today. When I went to buy the oil and filter I was going to go with the dyno/regular type versus the synthetic.
When I walked into the store they had a deal on Valvoline synthetic where you got a free (borsch) (probably not the spelling) oil filter, so that's what I got.

I'm only 980 miles in, so I'm still on the stock oil

 

Used to use Nissan Ester oil and recently changed to AMSOIL 5 - 40.
Dealership highly recommend this oil. Review seems to be good too.

Royal Purple 5w30 with a Wix filter, but at the next change I'm switching to Mobil 1. $24 for 5 qts is a good deal.

I'll either get a Purolator filter or stick with Wix.

 

Mobil 1 5-30 w/ Mobil 1 filter changing every 5 k. Done this w/ my 1st G and now my latest G 60k miles combined on the Gs and oil is never below high mark on dipstick and getting up to 30mpg so it's working fine for me

 

Redline 5w30 from Eneos 5w30

 

Whatever the dealer puts in.

 

Nissan ester 5w30. Car still sounds like a diesel.
