Hey everyone. I've been having this popping/crackling noise coming from underneath my G37 coupe. I took it to the dealership and they said that its just water falling on some pan underneath the car. The noise is very noticable when the car is idle or at a stop light. Has anyone else been having this problem and is this normal? Thanks for everything.

 

its just cats are are cooling off. Don't worry it's Normal.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but there is no need to make another useless thread about this. I have a 2009 FX35 and mine makes this same noise too!! Here is the sound mine is making:

I was in service before and heard G37 making it too.

THIS IS NOT NORMAL! Cats cooling down and making a noise is normal after the car is shut off. But it should not be doing it all the time when the car is on and idling. It's coming from the mid pipe area or something.

 

My 08 g37 6mt does the same thing man. I know...it drives me bonkers too.

 

Did you ever figure out what it was? My’09 g37x seems to be doing the same thing.
