GTM Performance Engineering: Another Patient out of the Rehab Clinic

We would like to share with you guys a vehicle that came to us for some tuning work and to our surprise, it needed far more than a simple tune. This vehicle unfortunately, had been in two different well known VQ shops before landing in our lap. The customer took his car in thinking he made the right choice and was going to be getting a fair shake. After a year of down time, and $1000's, the customer decided to get the car to us. When it arrived, the car ran extremely poorly and we found a lot of damaged components. This car had literally been raped. Even after going through the car and repairing the damage, we were very nervous as we didn't know if there was any internal engine damage as a result of the shoddy workmanship the car had undergone prior to its arrival.

The purpose of this post is to encourage members to do the necessary research before trusting anyone with your hard earned money. It is really saddening what this customer had to go through to get what was supposed to be a fun experience.

Here's some before and after pics:

Before (vehicle upon arrival):

After:

That's why you spend the money first. I am so glad I bought my kit from you guys. Every time I see something like this it only makes the value of the purchase that much better.

Man ...I really hope this is not the same shop that butchered two other G37 on here . If it is they should be banned.. When I see stuff like this I really wish we knew who it was so the community/consumer can protect themselves .. Blah!!!!
