Strange noise...need opinions....

I have a strange noise coming from my engine bay.

When the car is at idle, there is a very very faint whistling/humming sound coming from what sounds like right under the engine cover. It does get a bit louder when I remove engine cover, but still can't pinpoint the exact origin. Then when I turn the car off, there is a sort of "clicking" that happens as the engine shuts down. It almost sounds like there are metal parts clicking into place(sort of like a Transformer actually?), and best guess is that it is coming from somehwere around the throttle body. Definitely somewhere more along the drivers side of the engine. It is the exact same noise every time I shut the car down.

Any ideas? Just started...I'm going to bring it to the shop later this week...but would love to hear from our local professionals...the forum

So quick update...I took off my intake and grounding kit last night so I could bring it to the dealer without hassle. Today, after ~20 miles of driving, the noise is gone.

Can this have something to do with either of those? I mean obviously it must...but how? Maybe the timing of the throttle body trying to adjust air intake for some reason? I have had my intakes on for a few thousand miles, and this just happened yesterday randomly.

when i changed my stock intakes with R2C intakes, i could hear a much louder "whistling noise" Which i attribute to more air being sucked up by the intakes + no sound dampening like the stocks. What kinda of intakes are they? If you have a SRI like me id say thats probably what it is

They are SRI. Definitely not the increased air, particularly when engine was shutting off. The whistling was in the engine/throttle body somewhere, and the noises after engine cut literally sounded like Optimus Prime rolling out...
