Oh Yeah: When Reflashes are done, isn't the ECU RESET automatically by the dealer?? I will make sure that it is reset as a few have mentioned...

I still have not seen the TSB posted on this forum. Has anybody seen it or give a link where it can be downloaded? THX
That's the correct one. Don't worry. The service types in your VIN# and it comes up automatically.

This is interesting since it implies this particular dealer feels it will be an improvement for everyone.

On the ECU reset for the learned transmission parameters, can this only be done by the dealer, or is there a way for the owner to reset it via the in-car diagnostic menus?

I asked the dealer if it's available.. if it is I will be doing the update asap. As I paid more attention to the transmission this week I definitely noticed that under 40km/h (25-30mph) the transmission is really wonky and choppy in stop and go traffic.

will report here when it's done.

Thanks for the link bashirdur.

I'd have never guessed there would be a 100+ post thread covering the insanely cumbersome procedure. Seems it should be as simple as selecting a menu item, then selecting what all you want to clear, then confirming that you want to clear the settings by holding some button in for 5 seconds or something. I bet the engineers got a big kick out of creating this Rube Goldberg machine for performing an essentially harmless operation )

Went to the dealer today for the reflash and I got bad news. The consult III that they use to check the cars computer did not display a transmission part number and therefore this bulletin didn't apply to my car. The bulletin is for 2009-2011 G37 and 2011 G25 trans issues, so I figured my 2010 would apply. I found out later that the dealer had issues with there consult III and they are waiting for an update, so maybe when they get the update I can get the reflash. But I was so dissappointed that I couldn't get the reflash.

I was able to get my hands on a copy of the service bulletin and I'll post it as soon as I can scan it in.

ITB10-075 Service Bulletin

Everyone

Attached is a copy of the service bulletin for the 7AT issues. I haven't been able to get this update since the Transmission Part Number was not displayed on the Consult III when connected to my car as shown on page 3.

sniper27, and other members, I had the Reflash done yesterday. I've only driven 7 or 8 miles from the dealerhip to home, but the following aare the immediate feelings of the chnage:

1. Seems to have a little smoother take off acceleration - more linear as some have described. Not sure yet if it lost a little something;

2. Definetely comes to a smoother coasting stop, which is a result of a different Shift point 3>2>1...

3. Definetely less abrubt shift in Manual mode 3>4>5 and 5<4<3.. I used to feel that 4<3 shift harder; more testing to be done in DS mode. Initially, seemed that the sporty shifting felt that it was affected....

4. Still has Lag !! I tested at 40 or so MPH, hit the brakes lightly, then on the gas again, LAG !! IMO, not any better than before the reflash;

5. I will report further after a good hard drive today...

Since I do feel the chnages on the driveability and the Service Advisor confirmed that the ECU / TCM was Reset, I don't think a reset is needed?? But after reading the link that Bashi sent, I may do the Reset anyway to clear the previous learning curve and drive 'er Hard for 10-20 miles.

My tsb reset did not do any good. I did reset the ecu and now I am very happy. Very smooth in all gears when it shift's. No hard downshifts at all, acceleration is very good with very little hesitation if any. Hope it will last.

Hellcat: What proceedure did you follow to Reset the ECU? The one with the link in this Thread or Battery disconnect, etc....If you disconnect the battery, don't you lose all the settings, Navi, Bluetooth, etc?
