i do too. i will usually move it to ds when i start breaking for this reason. it will downshift even more aggressively to assist breaking which i think is great.

Bashi & hufington: Your Comments may have "Unchickened Me Out" of applying the Reflash to the ECU /TCM.... To confirm we are talking about the ITB10-075 TSB?

I still have not seen the TSB posted on this forum. Has anybody seen it or give a link where it can be downloaded? THX

I have the 2011 g37s sedan, 3k on it now, just had the re-program, and yes, the shifts do feel slower, but i'm glad you confirmed the times are the same. I do hear a "hollow" rubbing noise every time 1st gear runs through from a complete stop. I also noticed living on a dirt road has already made my front drivers side coil over make a "noise" when i go over speed bumps or and elevation change. I will have to see what happens.

Believe me the ecu reset helps so much with the transmission smoothness. I still cannot believe that I figured I should reset my ecu and now im happy more than ever with my car

Re-Flash results

Just got my 09 re-flashed today with the new TSB. I've got to say, my results were significant. The downshifts are smooth and rapid. Virtually no lag at all. Previously, the lag was so severe, I would consider it a safety hazard. My G drives like a whole new sports sedan. I'm very pleased with the results.

Anyone know if this flash has been applied to newer vehicles from the factory? Or is it still a case by case basis?

Taking delivery of a 2011 that was built in the first week of November.

If you are worried about it, just ask the dealer to check the vin to see if any TSBs pop up on their computer. I doubt that this specific flash was done, but my G37S '11 coupe was built in October and it seems to shift pretty well.

Not really worried, its just that Im getting the car from an out of state dealer (picking it up in person) so I wanted to know as much as I could before going there. Just a little paranoid the local dealers will start giving me bs about covering a car they didnt sell.

I could just tell them I just moved here lol

Now I know that the tranny is working as it should. I had a chance to take a few fast corners this morning, always had somebody getting in the way, and no more empty throttle in the middle of the corner.

Now I'm very, very happy.

By the way, I also did the reset.

Had mine in for an accessory install yesterday and they did the TSB. Car feels 'lighter' from a stoplight and the shifts are much smoother. The downshifts coming to a stop I can't feel now.

Great!

I guess for those who feel 'heavier' after the TSB is performed, all you have to do is reset your ECU to the 'lighter' feeling.

This is exciting results from so many.... I have an appointment for tomorrow. One member posted about that "empty" feeling when rounding corners, that was Gone... That's the feeling I get when stepping on the brake, then the gas, it has that "empty" - Lagging - hesitation feeling. Man, if that is corrected: WOW!

I'll post my results as soon as I can. These recent posts of your results, have "unchickened Me Out"....
