Throttle Lag

Hello everyone! I recently bought a 2008 intiniti g37s. So far i am pleased with the car but i just can't get over the throttle lag. I wanted to ask the forum before I took it to my shop, but I was wondering if the throttle lag could be tuned out? Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

This might be due the Nissan drive-by-wire. I had this hesitation in my 02 Max 6mt.

grounding kit helped me alot. Also, try driving for like 2 days with the snow button on. when you turn it off youll think your car is a race car.

Cheaper than all the above:

Reset the ECU (search the site for the how-to, or just disconnect the battery), then drive it like you stole it. The computer will relearn your driving style and will probably react a little better to your input.

Don't expect any epic improvements, but it worth a try before you spend any $.

Get a tune that removes the throttle restriction: UpRev, Hypertech, etc....

I would recommend a tune, as a good tuner will manipulate your throttle table to remove the stock restriction. Infiniti's come this way from the factory so grandma won't spin out and hit a tree. You will also pick up power. A tune with UpRev should run you about 550 or so, and you want to find a reputable shop that has prior experience with the software and nissan motors. To maximize your gains, you might want to look into some bolt on mods like a cold air intake and catback exhaust (with or without hi flow cats) before you go in for the tune.

I personally do not have a tune yet, waiting until I finish my bolt ons first.

I'll go with the grounding kit as well.
It's a $70 buck fix, alot cheaper and easier than all those other solutions.
And if it doesn't work, than try the other methods.
