I need educating. Why is the Quaife LSD needed? I understand the wish for the gearing.

Does this LSD reduce wheelspin on cars that have wheelspin? (street tires) With my BF Goodrich T/A Drag radials and OEM diff, I have reduced wheelspin to almost zilch. Just trying to understand the need for this (Because it's also costly).

According to my searches I have 3.73 gearing in my 5AT 2008 coupe. An upgrade to the 4.08 gears would be a logical step for me, too.

Main reason I change my LSd was to get the gears to fit in.

 

^^ So unless you install this diff, you can't change to the 4.08's?

Gonna tag since I'm thinking of upgrading my differential as well.

 

I'm throwing in 4.08s with my stock LSD. Manual vehicles with or without LSD can bolt the gears in no problem. Auto vehicles need a new stub shaft or a manual carrier in order to do it.
