I just got one and before I get it dyno tuned, I would like to get the feel of using it, so where can I download pre-made maps for bolt-on mods? Thank you in advance.

 

It's my understanding that there are only (2) maps for the Cobb AP. Stage 1 and Stage 2, and from what I heard, they are crap. I think custom tunes are your only option since Cobb discontinued support for the G37 AP.

 

Yea, I installed the COBB Stage 2+ and the car feels sluggish and is killing on the gas. How can I get the tuning software?

the stock map with a professional tune will give you the best gains.

I was running stage 2+ then got tuned & used the stcok style map gained 15whp.

stage 2 just dumps more fuel making it run to rich.

the stock map is the way to go.

 

Where can I find the stock map, or is it pre-loaded on the cobb? I bought mine second hand so dont know if its a deletable thing, or will i find it on there?

it is loaded on the cobb, but you need a professional to do the a/f.

no offense uprev is no better, since it can't control alot of things it said they could when it came out.

have seen uprev tunes with some sketchy gains, nit consistent by any means.

only crappy part with the cobb is they are not going ahead with any improvements.

so far in 3 years I have had the g37, nothing better is avail be it custom or not.

 

COBB tuning is in Plano, not far from me, they want $400 for a tune, you think theyll know better than a regular tuner? They said they could knock the car out quick?

 

I would go to them, 2 hrs is worth the drive.

 

Since you already have the Cobb AP... take it to a Cobb Pro Tuner and they will put the custom tune map on your AP. I'll be doing the same at Cobb in Portland once I get my exhaust, HFCs and CAI... I'm hoping to gain an extra 30-40 whp.

 

Wait... once you have a custom tune, you no longer have the stock map because the tune creates a new map, right? What am I not getting here?

 

it is tuned via the "stock style map" when he tried tuning with the stage 2+ map with mixed results.
he utilized the stock map with different air fuel ratio to produce the gains.
hope that clears it up,sorry if my post wasn't more thruough.
it is loaded to the cobb as stock style map v 103
so someone could buy my cobb with this tune if you had same mods.

 

Go to Cobb Tuning and download the AccessTuner for you Cobb AP. You have to submit your request with the Cobb AP serial no. and they will send you a link to download the tuning s/w in about a day or so.

The s/w will allow you to change the rev limits, speed limits, and throttle tables on your own... the rest I'd leave to the Pros.
