High Clutch Engagement

I own a 2009 6MT with 4,500 miles and since day 1 always noticed that the clutch engages so high that I literally have to lift my foot off the ground. I read through out this forum that others have this problem too and just waived it off.

Last week I drove my friends 2008 6MT and saw that his clutch was COMPLETELY normal and different from mine. His was just like any other stickshift that I've driven before. So I took my car into the dealership and they replaced the clutch for me....NO difference at all. Do you think if they change out the flywheel that it'll make a difference? Or any other ideas???

Thanks.

PS. If I never drove my friends 2008 and noticed that it's not just an Infiniti thing, then I would never have complained...I'm actually used to it now but just knowing the fact that there's a clutch out there that's normal bugs me.

Did your friend adjust his clutch engagement point? It's an easy mod to do and maybe his was adjusted. You should ask him. And if he didn't buy his car new, I'd say there's a real good chance that the prior owner adjusted the engagement point.

The 2008 was probably adjusted if there really is a difference
