hey,
i just got my ark exhuast installed today, and i encountered a weird rpm promblem, it doesnt happen all the time, but it happens like 3-4 times a day,
the rpm jumps down 2 slits before 0, and it feels like the car is going to shut off, but it jumps right back up under 1, and this happens on Idle only!, when driving its fine, do you think its the exhuast causing the promblem? or do i need to clean my throttle bodies? its weird because it never did that before i installed the exhaust.
thanks for the help

I've only got 16000 miles on my car though so would my throttle bodies be dirty at this point?
Also, why would this issue only show up after installing a new exhaust?

That's really odd that you would have this issue. I just got an ARK exhaust installed as well and seem to have a similar issue. When I am driving and push the clutch in to coast down a hill or what not the RPM drops down quickly to around 500-600 and then quickly hops up to 1100-1200 drops down to 500-600 again and then back up to 1100-1200. It does this quite a few times before it finally settles down at around 800 rpm.

My car does this too and i'm at 53K miles.
Been doin' it for about 10K miles just havent taken it in to the dealer yet since I think im going to try to clean the TB's first and see if that gets rid of it.

I cleaned my TB's tonight and the problem still exists. My TB's weren't exactly very dirty when I cleaned them anyway. I took a Cipher log of the issue. Here are a few screen shots.
If you look at the chart when the accelerator pedal is not pressed down at all you can see where there are the quick peaks and valleys in the other charts. That is where the RPM goes up and down.
I can send Cipher log file .csv if somebody wants to take a closer look at the actual data.

I found the test online. It was done by a Japanese magazine.

You aren't supposed to oil the HKS filters.

Anyone been able to figure out what this issue is yet? I'm still having this irritating hopping of the RPMS whilst driving and have yet to have anyone figure it out.
I took it to the dealer and they were like "It's probably your exhaust giving the ECU "weird" readings."
P.S.
I cleaned my throttle bodies and it didn't help any.
