I have a manual . Before the install I would cruise 60 mph in 6th gear at 2100 rpm after install 60 mph in 6th gear at 2300 rpm . So not much difference.. This car pulls so much harder now through all gears . I can hang and even beat american muscle off the line. Of all my NA mods I wished I did this one first ..DOMO

I'm jealous - I'd love better gearing and an LSD....

How much was pricing and where did you get it? Any noticeable drop in MPG?

traction will be more difficult
turbo power already comes on so quick, giving you less time to react to throttle inputs
it will also give more opportunities for the turbo to lose its spooling with more shifting
since you'll be flying through gears faster, you won't be keeping the turbo fully spooled as long

gas mileage will also obviously be worse with the 3.9 too

IMO with a turbo, stay stock FD or go 3.3 after you reach 450-500whp, though it can depend on how good your tires are if the 3.5 or 3.3 is better

After having the 3.93 gears on my Z I knew this mod would be perfect for the G. Price is about the same for gears and install as well. It is exactly that, it is a shortening of the gears to increase acceleration throughout the gears. Though you will see no difference in power on a dyno, the car becomes considerably faster...as in all bolt ons combined would not even hold a candle to the feeling and/or performance increase of just installing gears.

Side effects are that your RPM will hang a bit higher at all times and if you have a lightened clutch/flywheel it can be taxing to drive especially at low rpm.
