The front wheels are only engaged by the transfer case when the rear wheels are spinning faster. The system send upto 50% power to the front wheels until all the wheels are spinning at the same speed again.
I think of the awd system transfering power (torque) to the front wheels. It doesn't matter (or I think) how much that power spins the front wheels. Eventually all four wheels will spin at the same speed and the awd system will be idle.
Thoughts?
I know the GTR has an upgraded ATESSA system. Check the final drive ratios on front and rear diffs.

Did you guys bother with the install kits for the final drive? I'm seriously debating this right now.

Just joined this site. Hi all. Ordered a 4.08 FD today and I'm running a 125 spit in my 350Z. I saw this forum had a nice thread on this gear. So, has anyone been running a 100+ shot with this gear at the track? Pros/cons? I run a window switch skip shift 1st gear spray 35-65 de red at 7k. I break loose in 2nd when I shoot with 295s.
