As far as I know, the newly designed x pipe is more efficient(so more power)and produce better sound because it has bigger resonators on each side..

The fast intentions old X PIPE is made by Magnaflow and it has a slight raspy tone at low RPM with test pipes.

You can also compare dyno results between G37 and 370z cause the FI uses the new x pipe for 370z. They claim 20 hp with the new x pipe while 9hp with the old one.

The reason i want the new x pipe is two big resonators that will make sound deeper and better.

It sure does, thanks for the proper explanation and saving me a couple minutes of typing!

I had a couple kinks worked out on my tune and I made an additional 4whp with the same torque response. All in all; 335whp at 269ft-lbs (My baseline after the tune read the same exact numbers a couple days prior which was pretty cool).

That's from a new tune.
He already had the new x pipe before he got a tune.
He went back to get a re-tune because the AF ratio was a bit off.
Then additional 4whp was achieved after re-tuning the car.

It's hard to say. The magnaflow was a restrictive muffler. I wouldn't be surprised if you made an extra 5-7whp with the different newer x-pipe.
