15k, 22k schedule maintenance necessary?

Do I really need these? I've had my car for about 15 months, 18k miles on it and all I've been doing is going in for oil changes. These maintenance around about 400 bucks a pop and I would rather not spend that money if all they're gonna do is check stuff and rotate my tires. My car is bought, not leased and I don't plan on selling it.

The only way to rotate the tires on an 'S' is to dismount them. So maybe it's worth $400.

dont waste your $. oil changes and free inspections are all you need. change your tranny and differential fluid when they recommend and thats about it.

+1 on that. At 15k your car is still brand new.

There is no rotating tires on an S, the wheels are different size front to back. You might check your air filters, after 18k mine looked pretty dirty, and I'm in Socal LA area, not in the middle of a desert with sand storms and such.

Do the service! In my experience once you skip a service you will always wonder if you made a mistake. Also, in todays environment, you don't want to give ANYONE a reason to cancel a warranty. Legally they may not be able to do so, but they will call your bluff and see how much money you want to spend to prove them wrong. The cost of which may be more than the repairs they are denying because of a missed service...

Do it, you will never regret it. Dont do it and you may regret it.

My 2 cents...

Infiniti can't cancel your warranty because you didn't have them do your 15k service. As long as you've done your fluid changes on time they have to honor the warranty.

If I remember correctly the only extra stuff at 15k is air filters. Everything else is pretty much just visual inspections.

yes service dept is where they make a lot of their $. example: $13 air filter at autozone costs $60 at the dealer.

recommended and required are 2 different things.

infiniti should do a free multi-point inspection when they change your oil. if anything is wrong, they will point it out then. only things i ever did on my g35 5at was a full transmission flush and differential fluid changeout around 50k miles.
