Has anyone ever heard of getting the BDM (Body Distribution Management?) software modified?

I've read many posts about enabling DRLs and some about converting the odometer from Imperial to Metric units but there is no solution that mentions changing the software. It seems logical that Infiniti would build the same vehicle for different markets and only flash it with different software to make it meets the local requirements. This might explain why we have to put in hardwired work-arounds when the hardware is already there.

I expect that the DRL and odometer issues are both controlled by the BDM software. If Cobb can reflash the ECU, maybe someone can reflash the BDM and change the logic.

Has anyone asked Infinti? My local dealer wasn't well informed or helpful.
