Clutch got Stiff all of a sudden...

I was driving the G around a little bit tonight (taking it real easy, still haven't put the plate on)

anyway I went to shift from 3rd to 4th pretty low RPM, pushed the clutch in with normal amount of effort and it didn't even fall out of third let alone go into 4th. I had to PUSH the clutch down pretty hard (the changing of gears felt normal, just the effort required to push clutch in was very hard)

I shut the car off for 10 min and started it again, same thing clutch was STIFF... I left it home and took the truck out

I was out for like a half hour, when I got back I tried the car again and it didn't feel as bad, but still felt a little stiffer then normal

any ideas... there is about 800 miles on the car

ya at first I didn't like the clutch but then I got used to it, and sort of like it being easy (the trucks at work are WAY to stiff, one of our big trucks you have to literally stand on the pedal)

Were you driving around any hot females when the clutch got stiff at all. My clutch always gets stiff when I am around hot girls in my car.

Seriously, I wonder if there could be air in the line sorta like when your brake line has the same thing. I am not sure what type of clutch setup we have but that could be something to look into. You should take it to the dealer since it sounds like it might be easy to reproduce the problem.

didn't think the girl in the car was the issue, I guess she just has to come for a ride to "replicate" the situation again... lol

Anyway I tried it again this morning and it started out pretty light but stiffened up along the drive I guess I'm calling Infiniti

might be a slave cylinder problem or air in the clutch line. A buddies HR 350z was doing that...then one day his clutch went to the floor. Slave cylinder had gone bad

if there was air in the line I would assume it would be real light since air is a lot easier to compress then fluid... it is going to the dealer Monday anyway for the nice exhaust rattle on "cold start up"

ill see what they have to say about it

ok, it has been happening a lot lately...

I dont think it is near as light as the first 900 miles of driving the car, but over the last couple of days when ever I drive somewhat aggressively (taking turns fast, bringing rpms over 4,000) the clutch stiffens up considerably... I have no idea why, I'm not riding the clutch or anything

it sort of seems like it happens whenever the wheels would be spinning if not for the traction control, but it also happens when trac control is off and wheels do spin... but it still happens even when I am driving real calm... so I am very confused

this brand new car has more issues in the first month then my 11 year old chevy pick up with 140,000 miles on it every had
