Buzzing after spirited driving
Buzzing after spirited driving
I went driving last night and when I got home, I just let the car idle for a little bit and I noticed that something started to buzz/rattle. This is new, and I have not noticed it before. I also just had my mufflers replaced. Is this because of the JWT's? Also, I noticed when I started the car up and began driving with a cold engine, there was a whistling noise, not the intake, but much higher pitched. It is difficult to describe. One more question, I noticed that the aggressive sound from my JWT's is no longer there, it is better than stock, but not as loud as before. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I drove around the block and warmed up the car and then I got under it and heard the noise again. Sounds like its coming from the muffler/exhaust area. Do you think they messed something up when they installed the revised muffler?

on behalf on the JWT i can say that a broken in JWT will have a more moderate tone then when you first ran it after install. that break in can be 50-150 miles depending on driving habits/conditions...
for the exhahust noise - have them look at it and verify it again - take video of it including your license plate in the video also for proof, sounds like u may have gotten a bad revision muffler.

Does the revised muffler crackle at all? The new one I have like the old one, with crackle a little bit with low revving, sounds pretty cool actually. I am pissed though. I will have to take off my JWT again just so they can look at the muffler. They will probably try and blame me for the noise!
