help- problem with new car

08 g37s premium and sport (no nav or 4ws) with 1390 on the odo. Break in followed BY THE BOOK. Car is BONE STOCK.

Today started car after sitting all nite. No problems- started to drive car and came to a stop sign (about 1.5 minutes after car started) and stop. Car MARKEDLY shudders- but rpms at about 900 with no movement of needle. Accelerates fine and come to red light and complete stop. Shuddering starts again- VERY obvious like car is getting ready to stall but rpms still fine. Accelerate very quickly from red light and car is fine. Come to next red light and same stuff all over again but now "service engine soon" lights starts flashing. Pull into parking lot and shut car off. Look underneath- no leaks and oil is fine. Start car back up and no shudder. Took to dealer about 15 miles away and they put on lift and said no codes were thrown but that ecu probably reset anyway. Told me to watch it.
My fourth infiniti and nothing like this before.

I have done all I can do but any thoughts- I am planning a long trip (1000 round trip this weekend- still plan to go and not worried- should I be?)

Sounds like you should take it to the dealership.

Well, by the way he described it, it sounds more like an idling issue.

Perhaps you're having trouble keeping a steady idling air flow?

Can't be idling- rpms are rock solid and where they should be appropriate for how warmed up or cool the car is.

It was fine only after I turned car off and then restarted and then drove to dealer.

I wonder if this could be another symptom of that TSB that was released on the automatics. Might be a something the dealership can look into. Not sure though, just throwing it out there.

Just had this same crap happen to my 2012 G37s Auto.

I was stuck in the middle of the freeway and I couldn't get the RPM pass 1k.
I had the Service Engine Soon and VDC light on.

Its at the dealer now.

Sounds like it could be bad gas. Try filling it with premium fuel from a reputable station
