You shouldn't feel depressed for having the 5AT nor should those who will be getting the 7AT try to make you feel bad.

The G37 is a wonderful ride; a few more MPG or tenths of a second shouldn't make a big difference.

 

5AT is perfect, i simply dont need two extra gears for performace, since it isn't fancy dual clutch transmission you shouldnt feel depressed.

You should be depressed, very depressed as this AT sucks ballz!! the auto down shifting is just god aweful with the worst rev matching I have ever driven. If I was running her at a track I could easily see the car being thrown out with imbalance issues from jerky downshifting. I brought the car in to get reflashed for the surge issue, but they said they couldn't replicate it. I'm hoping its more prevelant in the winter as it was last year. Maybe that will resolve my dislikings, but I question it.
