Insert them in connector M66 behind the dash and make your own harness. It does require soldering etc. Mine works great!
Does your car have the navigation package?

alti35 or rmw00: My 2009 G-37 Journey does not have the harness in the steering column so I believe I need to get to the M-66 connector. Problem is I can't access the flickr site as it is listed as private. How can I get the details on how to wire in these shifter paddles?

Hi rmw00, the photos you posted via flickr are not visible because they are not open to the public. Can you change that so they are visible?

I'm interested in possibly making the same modification on my 2009 G37 Journey sedan.

Thanks.

Holy Crap! You are my new hero..I'm so stoked to do this mod thanks so much for posting it..my only regret on the car was no paddles..couple of questions..

1. Is see on the M66 end of your harness, there are 3 wires, M66 connections and a ground..on the other end there are 2 pairs..at some point did you split the ground for the 2 connectors?

2. Why did you introduce those PN56210 red connectors at the end (as opposed to just running the 2 wires all the way to the paddles)?

3. The "hot melt glue" you used on the paddles, is that just like a craft hot glue gun or is that a special electronic glue?

Thanks thanks thanks!

For those of us without pre-wired Gs

Okay, I gave up on this for a while b/c I couldn't find the terminal connectors for the M66 harness connector. I just tracked down a distributor for these little connectors but the minimum purchase is 84 @ .60 cent a piece . I was wondering if there was anyone else looking for this who might want to go-in on this purchase?

Hi all. It seems that I am very late to this thread, but I am looking for some information on adding paddles to my non nav journey coupe. I see that it has been done, but the pics on Flickr are kinda vage... no offence as I appreciate them for what they are, but with the wires being twisted, as I would do myself, the general path of where the wires go, gets crazy to follow. I am a master mechanic, and do not require much direction, but I would like to see a wiring diagram of the added harness. Can anyone help me, and possably draw up a quick one? Even a quick skech is all I need, and within an hour, I will be elbow deep in the dash, kill in this mod. I will take hi def pics, and post a full "how to DYI" complete with wire diagrams, part #'s, prices, and vendors lists for all to use. Please help me, so together, we can help everyone who wants paddles in there base or journey g37 coupe.

Yes I have complete this mod. The wiring is easy. The install is very difficult if there is NO WIRING. I will be glad to help. Step One go to a junk yard to get the wiring. Get the plug with the wiring from M66 and the plugs with the wiring at the paddle shift. WHEN you have this let me know.

Can you send me a private message on how you got your paddle shifters to work on your 08 g37 journey without the wiring harness? I too have an 08 g37 journey and discovered I do not have the harness
