ECU self adjusting

I was wondering, do you guy's think that the ecu goes back to near orginal settings after a day or two? I was all happy with how my car performed on the initial run, after the ecu reset, then after two days of normal driving it lacks the snap of the initial run. I know on my Prelude it would go back to near OEM settings after a few days. I noticed the samething when I installed the hfc's and exhust. I wrote that off to just getting used to the mods. On the Prelude a electronics wizard came up with a mod for an on/off switch so when you wanted to reset you just flipped the switch. Has anyone reset the ecu just before their dyno's? Your input is appreciated. I haven't red the import tuner article yet but suspect it will re-enforce my thoughts

I believe it does cut the gains of the mod that you put on the car. I wouldn't say that the mods you put on the car don't make a difference with the stock ECU though. It does seem to cut the power a little bit on the mod.
