AT compared to BMW 3 series?
Hi
AM thinking of getting a G37 but still tossing the coin between AT and 6spd versions.
just out of interest, anywhoe who has compred their AT G37 to the bmw 3 series steptronics, how does it compare? ive always been quite partial to the BMW autos, they shift nicely and quite fast.
if the G37s is in that ballpark that would be another point to consider in the AT favour.

I believe BMW tranny design is superior since they get pretty good 0~60 time with less HP&TQ and more gas efficient too. The only think that I'm complaining about G37 AT is that it has only 5-speed and gear ratio is little too wide.
This quote is from Motor Trend:
"Compared to the BMW 335i with an automatic, the G37 performed more smoothly and with more intuition. One could feel the BMW's extra torque, but the G's automatic worked better, as did its chassis."
